Ian Fahje poured in a game high 36 points to lead the Vikings. Charlie Larson and Hunter Williams added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
“As first games of the season can sometimes be, we had an inconsistent and sloppy first half tonight with too many unforced turnovers,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “However, it was really nice to see us come out of halftime and settle in with much more consistent play on both ends of the floor as we were able to take control of the game.”
Aiden Flaten led NCE/UH with 17 points and Wyatt Crompton added 11 points for the home team.
Pelican Rapids will open their home season Monday night against Crookston.
