Canes Use the Long Ball to Sweep Lakers

Fergus Falls posted a pair of wins by the ten-run rule on Sunday, beating Pelican Rapids 13-0 and 12-2 in Countryside League action at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls.

In game one, Dan Revering (5IP, 6K, 1BB, 2H, 0R) went the distance to earn his second win on the mound this season.  Darin Stanislawski (2-3, 2B, HR, 5RBI, 2R) and Carter Thielke each homered in the game.  Sean McGuire (2-3, 3B, 3R, RBI) and Revering (2-3, 2B, 2R, RBI) also had productive games at the plate.  Cole Witzig had both hits for Pelican Rapids.

Game two saw Thomas Bosek (6IP, 8K, 1BB, 4H, 2ER) get the victory.  Stanislawski (2-4, HR, 3RBI, R), Revering (2-3, 2B, 2R), McGuire (2-5, 2B, 3R), Arik Heacox (3-3, 2B, HR, 3RBI, 2R) and Owen Krueger (2-4, 2B, RBI, R) were the hitting leaders in game two for the Canes.  Thielke added a 2-run triple.

Next up for the Canes is a road double header at Breckenridge on Saturday starting at 5:00pm.
